Background

Every provider, owner and staff must have an ELIGIBLE Level II Background to perform duties within the business.

Plan of Corrections

Every provider who receives a deficiency must provide a plan of correction that demonstrates how the deficiency will not occur again.

Adverse Incident

An adverse incident must be reported to AHCA within 24 hours when an incident occurs.  Thereafter a 15 days follow-up is required to inform the agency of the outcome.  An incident report is required  when the provider could have prevented the incident from occurring to the client.

Emergency Power Plan - Generator 2017 Rule

In October 2017, the state of Florida experienced a hurricane which resulted in tragedy to elders in a nursing home which caused the state of Florida to require every Nursing Homes and Assisted Living to have a generator.

Emergency Status System (ESS)

 The Agency requires all licensees providing residential or inpatient services to use an approved database for reporting its emergency status, planning or operations.
